ZTE Axon30 5G Leaked Display Features Release Date: After the launch of the first under-display camera smartphone ZTE Axon 20. Now, ZTE comes back with another under-display camera phone called ZTE Axon30 5G. The company is planning to launch Axon 30 on 22nd July, in China.

Last week, the company’s official Weibo account teasing ZTE Axon30 5G. The latest teaser of ZTE Axon30 5G also revealed more details about Screen and Display.

The vanilla ZTE Axon 30 5G will succeed the Axon 20 to be the second phone within the company’s arsenal to return with an under-display camera. But like its predecessor, the Axon 30 5G will choose a second-gen under-display front camera.

However, the ZTE also confirmed that it’s found the way to double the pixel density of the screen to 400 ppi within the area above the camera, making it virtually unnoticeable. Whereas, in ZTE Axon 20 the under-display camera is quite noticeable.

ZTE also revealed another update in Axon 30 5G’s OLED screen that will feature a 120Hz refresh rate. The area above the ZTE Axon 20 5G camera had only 200 ppi pixel density, which made it pretty noticeable, particularly with a brighter background.

However, upping the pixel density to 400 ppi will blend into the display, considering the pixel density above the under-display camera. Therefore, the remainder of the screen will be more or less equivalent. As of now, there are only a few details about the vanilla Axon 30 5G.

Although it’s going to feature a mid-range chipset, considering the Axon 20 5G used the Snapdragon 765G SoC. However, we’ll need to wait until the phone launches to ascertain whether or not the adoption of the under-display selfie camera succeeds.

Problem with Axon 20

The issue with the Axon 20, the primary commercial smartphone with an under-display front-facing camera, was the OLED matrix didn’t allow enough light to travel through and Visionox had to compromise with the viewing experience.
